VITROS® waterless technology
A VITROS® technology helping to lowe eco gootprint.
Dry chemistry, also known as solid-phase chemistry, used solid-phase reagent technology with multilayer thin films. As long as the liquid sample is added directly to a solidified reagent carrier in a special structure, i.e. a dry reagent, the water in the sample is used to dissolve the solidified reagent on the carrier and mix it with the component to be tested in the sample. A chemical reaction is performed to perform the analysis and determination.
Our chemistry diagnostic testing solutions deliver both routine and specialty testing with the accuracy and speed you need. Simplify your lab by removing the need for plumbing, drains or water maintenance with VITROS® waterless systems. On average 160,000 litres of water per year are saved with one VITROS® System. That is enough water for a family of 4 to survive on for over 20 years.

The Vitros® 5600 integrated system designed to run clinical chemistry and immunoassay testing with a throughput of more than 900 tests per hour. The Vitros® 5600 system combines our comprehensive clinical chemistry and immunoassay menus of more than 160 assays – all on a single integrated platform – delivering high quality, productivity and value to your lab. 
 Chemistry System covers 90% of lab tests. The Vitros ® XT3400 provides significant throughput within a compact footprint, increased reagent positions and onboard capacity versus legacy systems.
